STREAMWARE RELEASES DELIVERYMAX 3.1
New Features Boost Driver Productivity for Delivery/OCS Accounts
Norwood, MA, November 14, 2003 - Streamware Corporation, a Crane Co. company, has released DeliveryMAX 3.1 with a host of new features to boost driver productivity for delivery/OCS/bottled water accounts. DeliveryMAX 3.1 also contains a number of refinements for inventory tracking. According to Streamware Director of Sales Damien Moroney, "All of the DeliveryMAX 3.1 enhancements lead to improved productivity and customer service. We recognize that our clients save money when their employees save time," Moroney concluded.
Enhancements to the Handheld
The updated DeliveryMAX handheld continues to support vending and delivery on the same unit, with UPS-style signature capture. New for version 3.1, drivers can see the history of an account, including paid and unpaid balances, and the handheld now enforces pay prior balance. Drivers can also accept payments on the handheld and print receipts, applying the payment to one or multiple open invoices, including credit card and COD.
Purchase Orders and receipts can now be copied, and last used prices can be loaded automatically, making data entry much faster on the combined inventory system for VendMAX and DeliveryMAX.
Streamware engineers have also added options to support small four-inch and eight-inch printers. These printers can be used by the driver/salesperson to print previous and current invoices and provide a receipt for payments.
Software Enhancements
Streamware noted that delivery companies with tele-sales or customer service representatives will find several important enhancements in DeliveryMAX 3.1. "When employees are taking orders, one screen will show any open balances, payment history, and product order history," Moroney said. "We've also updated the 'Hot Links' feature to provide one-click access to most recent order, deliveries, and payments.
For the back end of the operation, Streamware has delivered one more timesaving option. The DeliveryMAX 3.1 software can combine forecasted vending requirements with existing delivery orders on the same or separate load sheets, allowing drivers to carry only what they need. "Trucks can now carry product this is only needed for that day for both vending and delivery accounts," said Moroney. "This means less money tied up in inventory and it also allows our customers to run smaller trucks on the route."
