STREAMWARE ADDS PRODUCT MERCHANDISING TO "TEST DRIVE" PROGRAM

--No Obligation Program Lets Operators Try Before They Buy VendMAX Software—

Norwood, MA, April 23, 2008 -- Crane Streamware, a Crane Co. Company, has added another "try before you buy" option to its popular Test Drive program. The new Product Merchandising test tracks the increase in same-machine sales (snack and soda) on one route for 10 weeks using VendMAX's full suite of analysis tools.

"Vending operators are anxious to run their routes more like a C-store," said Damien Moroney, Streamware's Vice President of Sales and Marketing "They want actionable data that tells them which products to place in which machines to boost sales. For the 10-week Merchandising Test Drive, we'll refine one route's item-level planograms, analyze the data, and make fact-based recommendations of product placement for snack and soda machines." Moroney said that operators have been clamoring for a Product Merchandising Test Drive since the program began in April 2007.

The Test Drive program launched with a single option—testing route efficiencies using all the tools VendMAX offers, from item-level tracking to DEXing and pre-kitting. The DEX Cash Audit test was added in November 2007. Each test drive has been Beta tested prior to launch to ensure accuracy and ease of implementation. "During the pilot phase of the Product Merchandising Test Drive, we showed a 10% increase in same-machine sales. With product cost at 50%, operators who participated in the Product Merchandising Test Drive added 5% to their bottom line for the one route, as there were no additional costs," noted Moroney.

The cost of the 10-week Product Merchandising Test Drive is $5,000 (to cover expenses only.) There is no obligation to purchase VendMAX at the end of the trial, even if Streamware meets all of the agreed-upon results, which will be different for every operator based on their unique business situation. "While we hope operators see the value of installing VendMAX throughout their operation after a successful Test Drive, they are in no way required to," said Moroney.
